We are celebrating the band's 20th anniversary – and it is also the big birthday bash. Not in black mourning but in colourful outfits, with our own songs and the well-known covers!

This website was brought back to life for the 20th anniversary concert: it evokes the spirit of the old site, though it is not exactly the same.

The original site's greeting

Kingston Cruisers

Welcome to the official site of the reggae band Kingston Cruisers!

The Kingston Cruisers formed in April 2006 to bring fresh energy to the Hungarian club scene with an exceptionally colourful reggae and ska show. Their music ranges widely, from reggae ballads through instrumental ska-jazz to more danceable, upbeat ska tunes. In their first year and a half they played countless concerts in Budapest and countryside clubs alike – as support for Hungarian and foreign bands, at university events and summer festivals, and as hosts of their own regularly sold-out mini-festivals called Skanking on board.

In April 2007 they self-released their debut recording, “the First Trip”, featuring 8 original songs – a great success with both audiences and the industry. The repertoire has grown with many new songs since, so on the countryside and foreign stops of the “the First Trip Tour” the audience already gets a taste of much more than just the album's tracks.
